Fixly is a small, independent handyman service in downtown Toronto. The person you text is the person who shows up. No dispatchers, no platform markup, no surprise charges.
Fixly started because furniture assembly, wall mounting, and small repairs in a condo are the kind of jobs the big trades don't want and the platform apps overcharge for. So I started doing them at a clear rate: $79 for up to 2 hours, then $35/hr after in 15-minute increments, paid only after the work is done.
I bring all my own tools: impact driver, hammer drill, laser level, stud finder, the works. If something needs anchors, screws, or hardware your flat-pack didn't include, I'll tell you up front and either bring it or pick it up at cost.
I commit to a time window before the visit and I keep it. If a previous job runs over, I'll text you well before, not at the last minute.
Every shelf, frame, and floating shelf gets the laser level and the stud finder. No "good enough." Nothing shifts or falls later.
Sawdust vacuumed, packaging broken down, hardware sorted. Your place looks better than I found it.
You confirm the time worked. Stripe handles the card. Apple Pay and Google Pay both work. I never see your card number.
I work primarily across downtown Toronto. King West, Liberty Village, CityPlace, Queen West, Yonge corridor, Annex, Cabbagetown, Riverdale. If you're a little further out, just ask. most days it works out.
Anything that requires a licensed trade: electrical behind walls, gas lines, plumbing inside walls, roofing, structural work. If your job needs one, I'll say so and point you to someone reputable.
